Nestled among the lush gardens of Glitter Bay you will find these beautifully appointed one, two and three bedroom apartment beach front condos which make an ideal holiday home for families, couples or friends sharing.  The all suite property, formerly The Fairmont Glitter Bay Resort, is located on one of the best beaches on the west coast of Barbados and is next door to The Fairmont Royal Pavilion.

Each unit is tastefully furnished to the individual owners taste and come equipped with all modern conveniences that make it useful for a self catering style holiday.  The Glitter Bay Suites location is so close to Holetown that you will be spoilt for choice with the array of quality eating establishments from beach bars to fine dining.  Coupled with shopping malls, banks, supermarket, post office, 24 hour convenience stores to name a few, makes Glitter Bay an ideal base for your Barbados holiday.

The Glitter Bay Suites 106 'Shak Shak' is a three bedroom ground floor apartment which has been completely redone by combining a one and two bedroom apartment and has approximately 2000 sq. ft. of living area with an open plan living area making it one of the most spacious and unique apartment on the property. It is the only ground floor three bedroom apartment on the property and is also the only one that has a gate access directly leading out from the patio to the pool, gardens and the beach path.

The air conditioned master bedroom, with ceiling fan and electronic personal safe, is ensuite and has a king bed, cherry wood furnishings and leads out to a spacious patio.  The soft furnishings are in soft cream and butter yellow and lend a calm and serene setting to this spacious bedroom.  There is a TV and DVD player in the master suite and there is an ensuite marfil bathroom with glass screened shower and beautiful coral stone finishes.

The second bedroom has two separate beds which can be made up to be a king bed plus it has a fold out bed.  This bedroom is air conditioned with ceiling fan and the cherry wood dresser and side tables compliment the buttercup creams of the soft furnishings.  There is also and TV and DVD player here so its great for children. The second bathroom located in the hallway has a curtained screened bath and shower combination and has a single sink granite vanity.

The third bedroom also has two single beds which can be made up to be a king and is also decorated in the same fashion as the second bedroom.  The third bathroom is in the hallway and this marfil bathroom also has a glass screened shower and marfil topped single sink vanity with charming coral stone accents.

The extra large kitchen has black flecked wrap around granite counter tops, large sink, large stainless steel fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, electric counter top hob and oven.  The kitchen is fully equipped with glassware, crockery, cookware, cutlery, pots, pans, bakeware and kitchen linens and has a breakfast bar with four high stools which is great for the children! Here you can prepare your own gourmet meals or let the nearby patisserie in Holetown prepare your meals and deliver right to your door.  Alternately, being close to so many great restaurants, cafes and bistros there is never a problem regarding eating out, the only problem is which one to choose!

The double living area is fully air conditioned and has ceiling fans.  One seating area has a four piece rattan sea grass suite in white and the TV room has seats, writing desk and both lead out to the very spacious patio.  The soft green, pastel yellow and creams of the furnishings are enhanced by the dark wood furniture.  The living room also has an ADSL modem, cable TV and CD player.  The patio has a 6 seater wooden table and chairs and a banquet style seating area with coffee table.  This patio has direct access to the gardens and is the only unit that has this convenient access gate.

Off the master bedroom is another cosy patio with two wicker plantation chairs and foot stools which is the perfect spot for sun downer drinks and pre dinner cocktails with the mini bar and fridge or for reading a good novel.  Both patios have a lovely view of the gardens and even a glimpse of the beautiful blue sea past the colourful flowering shrubs.   This apartment is ideal for families as the owners has 4 children under the age of 12 and is well equipped with play toys and books.  Alternately it caters to 6 adults just as well!

 

GENERAL TERMS:The signing of the booking form confirms acceptance of the terms and conditions (see below).  It is understood that the client (person signing the form) has read and understood the terms and conditions (see following) as outlined at the time of this booking

RENTAL PERIOD AND OCCUPANCY:The rental period starts from 4.00 p.m. local time on the day of arrival until 12 noon local time on the day of departure as stated on booking form.  Early arrivals or late departures may result in additional charges.  The accommodation may only be occupied by the persons named on this rental agreement.

RENTAL PAYMENT:A 50% deposit by bank wire transfer is required at the time of the reservation to confirm and hold the reservation.  All reservations must be paid in full 9 weeks prior to the date of arrival by bank wire transfer or they are subject to cancellation without notice.  If payment is not received, your reservation may be cancelled and your deposit forfeited.  No reservation is confirmed until the booking deposit is paid.  Bank details will be supplied on receipt of the booking form.  Payment is possible with Visa or Mastercard however a 5% surcharge is applied.

SECURITY DEPOSIT:A Mastercard or Visa is required for all reservations to act as a security guarantee of USD500.  This credit card may be charged to cover extra accommodation costs or loss or damage to the rental property in excess of normal wear and tear during the period of rental.  The property should be left reasonably clean and undamaged on check out.  If the property is not left in a suitable condition, it may be necessary to charge the credit card being held as guarantee for costs to cover extra cleaning, damage or repairs.

LIABILITY LIMITATIONS:The Owners and/or Managing Agent of the Property accept no responsibility whatsoever for the death, personal injury, accidents, loss or damage to persons or personal property and/or belongings however caused.  The use of all accommodations and amenities, including the swimming pool, and all other facilities is entirely at the users risk.  Children must be supervised at all times by responsible adults.  The Owners and/or Managing Agent cannot accept any liability for any loss of rental time due to travel problems, flight delays, cancellations, industrial disputes, weather related events including hurricanes or any event out of our control.  The Owners and/or Managing Agent cannot accept any liability for failure of public supplies/utilities such as water, electricity, phone service, internet service, cable TV service.  Nor do we accept liability for the consequences of the actions or omissions of others that may supply or control main services, or any actions taken in the vicinity of the property by any authority over which there is no control.

GOVERNING LAW:All reservations of the accommodation and the use and occupancy of such accommodation shall be governed by the laws of Barbados.  All disputes between Owners and/or Managing Agents and renters shall be subject to the jurisdiction and laws of Barbados.  The Management Company acts on behalf of the Owners.

CANCELLATION:All cancellations must be received in writing and confirmed.  In the event that a client cancels a reservation, or the Owners and/or Managing Agent have to cancel a reservation due to non-payment of the balance due within the time allowed before arrival, cancellation charges will be made as follows:

 

  • More than 9 weeks prior to the arrival date:  25% of the full rental amount
  • Between 9 and 7 weeks prior to arrival date:  50% of the full rental amount
  • Less than 7 weeks prior to arrival date, no shows or short stays:  100% of the full rental amount. 
  • Any refund due will be less all bank and credit card charges including bank rates of exchange and commissions
