General Info
Some of our most cherished memories are enjoying informal and comfortable summers at Tanglewood, digging into picnics at Wolf Trap and The Mann, dancing at The Proms in Hyde Park, and uncorking champagne at the New York Philharmonic in Central Park.
These experiences not only fostered a love for classical music, but their pops seasons indulged our appreciation for pop-star collaborations, crossover classical music, jazz, opera, and film composers that formed our modern musical influences.
The fall season in symphony halls are phenomenal, of course, but the “feel” is not the same. We longed for the summer seasons so we decided to create a winter home. After three years of searching, we found it in Barbados.
Mission
Our mission is to present a festival of the highest artistic caliber while maintaining a dedication to a variety of musical and artistic influences. Classical/Pops embraces the notion that music is permeable to outside influence and therefore endlessly in flux. We’ll remain committed to changing with the times and being a signpost of innovation. We want more audiences to embrace this dynamic artistry that, for many young listeners, hasn’t always been relevant.
