The true beauty of a Barbados vacation is as much about the people you meet as the places you visit. Passing your time in Barbados is never an issue, with its true diversity of activities and vibrant night life, we thought we’d present you with a sample week of activities in March. Here’s one of many ways that we think you’d enjoy:

Sunday: finding a traditional English breakfast is not usually a problem on a Sunday morning, however, for the more active visitor we would suggest a you can start your day with a Barbados National Trust early Sunday morning hike. Your next activity would be a lazy morning of beach relaxation in anticipation of a Sunday lunch. Long a Bajan tradition, you’ll find all manner of lunch for the traditional Bajan to a good old English roast. Afternoon tea will find you at one of three polo grounds enjoying some chukkas with your new best friends, and maybe a celebrity or two. Top your evening off with a fine dinner.

Monday: is a very laid back day in Barbados, and it tends to be a day of rest and recover from a hectic weekend. The vibe is very laid back and is best enjoyed with a day of laying out in the sun and enjoying some watersports, or taking a visit into Bridgetown for some duty-free shopping and stocking up on souvenirs. Monday night is well spent taking in a beach front dinner show while looking out on Carlisle Bay.

Tuesday: is perfect for you to take an island tour or a coastal catamaran cruise. Visit our landmarks and historical sites, including our newly minted UNESCO Heritage Sites in Historic Bridgetown and venture to some of the more rustic edges of the East Coast of the island. Or maybe, a quiet coastal cruise is more your speed.

Wednesday: During the season, the Barbados National Trust hosts an Open House programme with visits to properties of historical, architectural and anecdotal interest to the people of the island and to visitors with an interest in Barbadiana.

Thursday: live your life like royalty and start your day with a round of gold on one of the island’s championship courses, and test your mettle against club pros or if you’re lucky, pick up a round with a visiting touring pro. This afternoon is a second opportunity to enjoy some polo for the week. With a different vibe to weekend polo, we invite you back to another field for another fine afternoon which naturally leads to a luxurious evening of fine dining.

Friday: Top your night off with a visit to the Oistins Bay Garden for a fish fry like you’ve never experienced. Freshly caught fish shared on picnic style tables with new and old friends and entertainment island-style.

Saturday: is a great day to visit the UNESCO heritage site at the Historic Garrison Savannah, as today is race day!  Enjoy a tropical twist on the sport of kings.

Bet it sounds busy to you, but we’re sure you’ll enjoy every moment. Thankfully you have your second week and on to just relax on the beach!
